Captain Terry Matheny
“Thank you Inland Marine for letting me work with my son on the river that many of us call our home away from home....Inland has some very good people to work with in the office and on their boats. Some of us may be a little rough around the edges, but we work together to smooth things out. Thanks to IMS, I got to teach my son a trade he can use from now on, and I get to work alongside him to help him fine tune it. There’s no better feeling…"
Captain Clinton Parker
“Without family and friends you have nothing. I am grateful to the Hammonds and the shore-side staff for being family to me! They have always been there to help me in tough times.”
Captain Gary Rudesill and Donna Rudesill
“Over twenty-three years ago a captain friend of mine called me and asked if I wanted a job. The pay was good, so I said sure. On May 29, 1988, I took my wife Donna with me to meet my new boss, David Hammond, Sr., on the MV Queen City. We found a very nice young entrepreneur with the gift of gab and a dream. He was cooking burgers for the boat crew while they were busy cleaning and painting. A few days later, with the help of David’s wife, Cathy, Inland Marine Service launched their line haul vessel management company. It has progressed ever since–some baby steps and some giant steps–but always moving forward. As I look back, the reason why my wife and I have spent so many years with this company is the people. We have met and made friends with so many wonderful people. Dave Jr., Holly, and Cathy are at the helm now and David Sr. is behind the scenes. It is still good to see his dream come true of becoming one of the largest towing companies in the industry, and Donna and I are proud to be a small part of it.”
